Our Story

The owner of Moss Hall Kitchens and Bedrooms, John Cothliff, founded the business in 2012 after 12 years’ experience in the industry.

Having fitted kitchens and bedrooms in a huge number of homes, and for a variety of companies, John decide to bring something new to the industry with Moss Hall. Three years ago, Richard Day joined the business as Designer. An award-winning designer, Richard brings a fresh perspective to design; something all our customers rate highly.

Although John owns the business, he works closely with a number of talented design experts and fitters. Geoff, who has been involved in both the manufacturing side and kitchen showrooms, since 1983, brings a wealth of knowledge to the team, alongside Moss Halls’ three fantastic fitters.

Amongst them, Moss Halls’ fitters have 65 years’ of experience; but perhaps most importantly of all, they have real passion for the job and deliver a high quality service to all clients.

The Moss Hall Kitchen team comprises of plumbers, plasterers, electricians, builders, flooring and decorators. The staff aren’t the only reason customers favour Moss Hall Kitchens and Bedrooms though; the quality of products is up there with the best too. All the carcasses are rigid and made in Moss Hall’s own factory – to the exact specification of your needs. This means you can design your own bespoke kitchen, bedroom or office, with a range of materials, shapes, sizes and colours available to you.

What’s more, Moss Hall is a Neff 5-Star Master Partner and KBSA approved – ensuring you can be confident in the company’s work and 100% satisfied with the final result.

Our Process

At Moss Hall Kitchens we follow a six step process with our customers to ensure that we provide an individual service and inclusive experience

  • Consultation
    Consultation

We encourage anyone buying a new kitchen to come and visit our showroom first before requesting a visit to measure. At this early stage we can have a chat with you to understand what it is you are looking to achieve and any specific requirements you may have. You can wander around our showroom at your leisure and browse sample worktops and brochures to get a feel for what is possible with the budget you have in mind.

  • Measure
    Measure

Once we've had a chat and discussed some options, we will visit your property to look at the space, measure up and identify if there are any particular challenges we need to be aware of in order to design a kitchen which will work in the space you have. We'll take some photographs to send back to the design team so they can get a visual and use their expertise to bring some new ideas to the table you may not have thought of.

  • Wish List
    Wish List

We'll sit with you and go through a wish list comprising of non-negotiable elements such as colour or style, through to aspects you're happy to hand over to the designer. This is an important part of the process, as our designers have the opportunity to understand how you want to utilise your kitchen space i.e. for entertaining and where they can bring fresh ideas to the table. Creating a wish list also gives both parties guidance on what is achievable with the available budget and manages expectation early on in the process.

  • Design
    Design

Our designers will then take your wish list and the details provided at the measuring stage to design your new kitchen using the latest CAD technology. We'll talk you through the proposed layout and check that the units, worktops and appliances you've selected work in the design and space; tweaking where required. We use a state of the art CAD system, which enables you to a virtual walk around your new kitchen - bringing your kitchen to life even before it's been signed off and installed!
