Stylish, Contemporary And Sleek

Peter and Linda Huntingdon visited several local kitchen companies in the initial stages of planning their brand new kitchen, but once they met designer Richard Day and the team at Moss Hall Kitchens, they didn’t hesitate to make a decision.

The final result is a stunning handleless high-gloss cashmere kitchen, which incorporates all of the customer’s key requirements. On one side, Richard has lowered a dividing wall, which allows Peter to sit and chat with Linda as she bakes using her new Neff Slide and Hide Single Oven. Above, a Faber ceiling extractor preserves the open, spacious feel to the kitchen while also helping to keep it clear of smoke, steam and lingering smells from cooking. Alongside this extractor, feature lighting overhead casts a brilliant glow on the breakfast bar and the hob area (which is home to an innovative FlexInduction hob).

Richard and the chaps in the showroom were so helpful, and very easy to talk to from the word go. And the workmanship on the finished kitchen is very, very good – the sleekness of it all is one of the things I like best about the finished design.

the Approach

Increased worktop space was one of the key requirements for the Huntingdons’ new kitchen, so Richard made sure to accommodate for this in the finished design. The worktops themselves are DuPont 25mm Corian Antarctica White, with coved upstands and a stainless steel undermounted sink – featuring a Quooker fusion tap that can provide boiling water at an instant’s notice.

The Quooker tap is just one of a highly innovative range of kitchen appliances – in addition to those outlined above, the kitchen also features a combination microwave oven, a built-in under-larder fridge, and a fully integrated dishwasher.

Moss Hall Kitchens provided a fully comprehensive service offering to Mr and Mrs Huntingdon, encompassing design, project management, installation, building, flooring, and plastering and electrical works.
